Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. Assumption Parish Warrant Records is not a consumer reporting agency as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) defines that term. Decisions about credit, employment, insurance, tenant screening, and any other purpose the FCRA covers may not rest on the information here or on a linked third-party tool. For those purposes, a background check has to come from a provider that complies with the FCRA.
Privately Operated Reference Site
We are a private operation. This site is not a court, a sheriff's office, or a government agency, and no such body endorses it or is connected to it. Warrants are not issued, served, or stored here, and no official warrant system is maintained here. Our role is to point readers toward the offices that do that work: the Assumption Parish Sheriff's Office, which serves warrants and posts a Current Warrants search; the Twenty-Third Judicial District Court and the Assumption Parish Clerk of Court, which hold district court filings; the three justice-of-the-peace ward courts; and the Napoleonville Mayor's Court. Since Louisiana has no public statewide warrant lookup, one search will not clear every court.
Accuracy of Information
Addresses, phone numbers, hours, fees, and procedures at courts and sheriff's offices change with little warning, and warrant systems are updated throughout the day. We try to keep these pages current, but no detail on the site is guaranteed correct at any given moment. Call the office before you travel to a counter or send a payment.
Warrant Status Changes - Verify Before You Rely
Warrant records move. An order can be issued, recalled, quashed, served, or sealed, and its status may shift from one day to the next. A search that returns nothing is not proof that no warrant exists. The order may not have been entered yet, it may belong to another court, or it may never appear on a public list. What a listing showed last week may not match the record today. Confirm the status, or the absence of one, with the issuing court or the sheriff's office before you act.
Any warrant result is a starting point, not the last word. Whether a warrant exists, and whether it has been recalled, served, or sealed, can only be confirmed by the issuing court or the sheriff's office.
Verify With the Official Source
No page here is an official record. When a decision turns on a warrant, whether one exists, what it charges, what bond it carries, or whether it has been cleared, ask the office that holds the file. Depending on where the case began, that may be the sheriff's office, the district court or its clerk, a justice-of-the-peace ward office, or the Napoleonville Mayor's Court. Only the issuing court or the sheriff can give official confirmation.
Not Legal Advice
This site does not provide legal advice. We explain how warrants generally work in Assumption Parish and point to useful resources, but no website can take the place of a licensed attorney. That is especially true when an outstanding warrant, a surrender, or a bond is involved.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages here carry search boxes operated by outside companies. What those tools return, what they charge, and how they treat submitted data are beyond our control. Results can be incomplete, out of date, or matched to the wrong warrant or the wrong person, and the FCRA limits described above apply to them as well.
Outbound Links
Links on this site lead to sheriff's office sites, court portals, legal aid groups, and other resources. Content, accuracy, and availability on those external sites are not our responsibility.
No Records on This Site
No warrants, warrant lists, case files, or court records are hosted here. The offices that hold them are where we send you. Confirming a warrant means checking with the issuing court or the sheriff's office.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me if there is a warrant for me?
No. No warrant system is hosted or maintained here. The official answer comes from the issuing court or the sheriff's office. A warrant lookup is one place to begin, or you can contact the sheriff.
Does a clear result mean I have no warrant?
No. A clear result does not prove that no warrant exists. Warrants are added, recalled, served, or sealed, and some never appear on a public list. Ask the court or the sheriff to confirm your status.
Who can clear or recall a warrant?
Only the court that issued it. Speak with an attorney and with that court.
